The Boy’s Bridgade is an International Interdenominational Christian Youth Voluntary uniform Organization, established in 1883 by Sir, William Alexander Smith in Glasgow Scotland. The event was held at Old Parade Ground Area 10 Garki Abuja. On the 16th November, 2019 by some dignitaries amongst whom the Boys Brigade FCT Council President, Chief Solomon Abdulrahman Kure, Vice President Eld. Apollos Samson Tizhe, Hon Minister of State represented by Director of FCT Youth and Development Mrs. Hajarat Titilayo, Director General Security and Forensic Studies Nigeria represented by Mr. Job Odeh Sylvester, a representative from Navy, Airforce, Federal Road Safety Commission and some other military ana paramilitary. Other dignitaries who are also part of the FCT Council, SSO, Chaplain & Legal Advisers, FCT Council of Patrons, FCT Council Excos were also present.

Arrival of guest and recognition of dignitaries by Boys Brigade State Auditor Captain Auta Ibrahim. Parade take position as the Parade Adjutant Bitris O. matched forward to his position in front and handed over to the Parade Commandant T.O Christopher who also took over and invited the coloured party. As the coloured party matched in, representative of the Hon Minister of State Mrs. Hajarat Titilayo was accompanied by some of the officers to inspect the parade. While the inspection was on Mr. Banabas Madaki Adviser National Training Officer gave brief history of Boys Brigade Nigeria.
After the inspection, the Girls Brigade start the section by matching in as the proper parade begin. As the Girls Brigade rounded up, the Boys Brigade ride on with the parade which the Boys Brigade includes all of the Battalion Council in FCT. A short exaltation, honoring salutation and a march pass which are of different varieties/display.

Welcome address by the President of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria FCT Council Chief Solomon Abdulrahman Kure “On behalf of the Officers and Boys of Boys’ Bridgade Nigeria FCT Council, I wish to welcome you all to this great occasion, where we have all come to witness the talent exhibition of what we have been learning in the Boys’ Brigade. FCT Council of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria have performed excellently in this regard and in our other various national competitions, we have won first position on BB week collections for the consecutive period of five years now and have been excelling in National Bible quiz competitions. For our Fathers who are our guest here from the Military, Police and Paramilitary, you have all seen the skills in our Officers and Boys, you will all agree with me that we are seeing here today in drills and band, is a reflection of an already made material for recruitment into your institutions, we therefore plead with you to give us slots during your recruitment exercise so that this talent already endowed on this Officers and Boys will be usefully utilized and not wasted”.

Therefore, after the parade the State Auditor Captain Auta Ibrahim appreciated Mrs. Hajarat Titilayo for been able to stand on the platform while the parade is on and was also honored to her sit to watch the remaining parade.  The band group reduced the band sound as the Parade Commandant in standing position while the Coloured Party matched out. The Dumb Base Boys matched in as they perform what they are thought to do after which they matched out. As the Dumb Base matched out, the Silence Drill section matched in and as well rounded up in no time with a good performance and flag representing Nigeria and the Boys’ Brigade, they performed different songs from the Secret Songs and Solos (SSAS). It was a very colourful Silence drill as they were appreciated by the guest and dignitaries. The coloured party matched in to take part in the rest of the parade followed by speech and presentation of awards by some invited guest/dignitaries.
In the course of the programme awards were given to personalities that have contributed to the growth and development of Boys Brigade within the FCT Council. These awards were presented by the service chiefs representatives. The representative chief of naval staff actually presented the award to SFSN Director General for his wonderful contribution towards growth and development of the organization and the award was received by the secretary to SFSN.

During the speech/award presentation, Mr. Job Odeh Sylvester who represented the Director General Security and Forensic Studies Nigeria was interviewed after which an award was awarded to the institute. Mr. Job Odeh Sylvester who talked about the importance of Forensic Studies and how it’s related to Boys’ Brigade Nigeria. “The institute has emerged from bodies to make it one effective professional body that meets the state of the art standard and accepted by National and International communities. The institute strengthen, carryout training on private services, premarital investigation, post marital investigation etc. it is geared towards training Forensic Experts on the need to advance on enlightenment to corporate bodies or individuals on private services. Advancement of Security and Forensic Studies in Nigeria is a break through to implementation of policy that has great value.
He also appreciates the Director General SFSN for the privilege and honor given to him to represent him in Boys Brigade Nigeria, FCT Council end of the year parade, He further stated that SFSN will be committed in partnering with the Boys Brigade Nigeria to ensure the talents of the officer are properly wirnessed. The programme was a talent exhibition event as the awardees were also given the opportunities to make a remark, the programme ended with a closing prayer follow by parade in review order/departure.
